Perinatal Depression

Whether you call it postpartum depression, perinatal depression, or just "postpartum", we're talking about depressive symptoms experienced during pregnancy and/or postpartum. 

This may be showing up for you as feeling "not myself", overwhelmed, sad, irritable, unworthy, worthless, disconnected from baby. You may have unexplained crying, difficulty sleeping, or trouble taking care of yourself or baby.

You are not alone.

1 in 4 people who are pregnant experience depression.

1 in 5 mothers suffer from perinatal mood and anxiety disorders,

perinatal depression being the most common.

1 in 10 fathers are afflicted with these disorders also.
